Here you see the second parking lot. There are two parking lots here. The first for buses and RVs, the second for cars.
Here you see the western side of the crater. At 4,000 feet across and 550 feet deep, it looks huge but with nothing to scale it to it's hard to realize how big.
Looking down into the bottom of the crater. You can't see it with the naked eye, but they put a man sized astronaut cut-out at the bottom.
Astronauts trained here to simulate the craters they'd face on the mon.
There's a sheltered lookout area here. Signs along the rim explain the features of the crater.
With this lookout point you're literally hanging out over the ledge.
